Following the release of her Bedroom EP, R&B newcomer Mabel McVey is rapidly becoming a prominent UK music prospect.

As the daughter of Neneh Cherry and Massive Attack pro-ducer Cameron McVey, the 21 year old - who was born in Málaga, Spain, raised in Stockholm, later moving to London – was introduced to music at a very young age, and has since sought to develop her own voice in the industry. Recognised by the BBC, The Guardian, Vogue, i-D and Noisey for her songwriting and unique style, McVey also caught the attention of Skepta’s creative director Grace Ladoja, who featured her in the grime MC’s MOBO Award-winning Shutdown video. In May 2017, she was championed by Jools Holland who invited her to perform her latest single Finders Keepers on his BBC showcase, alongside the likes of Blondie. Discussing her plans for the future, she explained ‘I am not ashamed to say I want to sell lots of records; I want to go on world tours. I want to be something’.
